About the Role

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we specialize in connecting energetic individuals with outstanding workplace opportunities. On behalf of our retail client in Workington, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Stock Assistant to join a busy, supportive store team.

In this fast-paced position, no two days are ever the same. You will play a vital role behind the scenes and on the shop floor—receiving deliveries, restocking shelves quickly, and maintaining top-tier product presentation to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Replenishment: Restock shelves efficiently and at pace to keep product availability high throughout the day.

• Quality Assurance: Check incoming deliveries and inspect product freshness, removing any items that do not meet high store standards.

• Store Merchandising: Present products neatly and keep aisles tidy, organized, and inviting.

• Customer Support: Provide friendly, efficient service whenever shoppers need assistance.

Skills & Experience

• Positive Mindset: Friendly, approachable, and ready to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• Driven & Active: Comfortable handling physical tasks and replenishing stock at pace in a fast-moving setting.

• Reliable & Flexible: Possesses a dependable, can-do attitude tailored to dynamic retail schedules.

• Experience: Previous retail or stock-handling experience is a plus, but attitude matters most—comprehensive training is provided!
