We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for a dedicated Customer Services Apprentice to join their team at the Taunton Depot.
As the Customer Services Apprentice, you will embark on an exciting career path where you'll learn the ropes of professional customer support while helping vulnerable and elderly individuals maintain their independence at home.
You will act as a key contact point for service users, families, and healthcare professionals, coordinating deliveries and ensuring every customer experiences exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inbound and outbound calls with service users, families, and prescribers, meeting agreed KPIs.
Book delivery rounds in advance for Technicians and Service Engineers using specialized software.
Ensure client and delivery details are accurate and up to date, adding comprehensive notes to the system.
Action emergency jobs swiftly by coordinating effectively with technicians and the warehouse.
Proactively contact clients and liaise with prescribers to review orders when initial contact isn't achieved.
Handle emails and complaints within agreed timeframes to an exceptional standard.
Manage the reception area and facilitate retail sales when required.
Assess technician workloads to ensure daily routes are balanced and efficient.

Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a bonus, but a positive, willing-to-learn attitude is what matters most!
Skills: Good IT proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, genuine empathy, and the ability to remain calm and supportive under pressure.
