Sous Chef – Luxury Retirement Living
Location: Richmond Village Northampton, Bridge Meadow Way, NN4 5EB
Salary: £15.40 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract (45 hours per week)
Schedule: 5 x 9-hour shifts working across 5 days (shifts between 07:00 and 20:00)

We are partnering with Richmond Villages Northampton (part of Bupa) to find a talented and driven Sous Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will help lead the kitchen in delivering exceptional, restaurant-quality dining experiences for residents in a luxury retirement community, spanning care home facilities, serviced suites, and the wellness spa.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation, and hotplate service.
Crafting delicious meals tailored to residents' specific dietary needs and preferences.
Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are met across all prep and dining areas.
Managing inventory carefully, paying strict attention to high-risk perishable goods.
What We’re Looking For
Proven professional kitchen experience, ideally with knowledge of catering for special dietary requirements.
An innovative, organized approach to cooking who can remain calm and focused during a busy service.
Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds, alongside a CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award (or equivalent).
A collaborative mindset and a passion for creating positive, welcoming dining experiences.
