Barchester is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join the team at Kenwyn Care Home. In this full-time day role, you will look after the diverse needs of residents, supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager, and provide key support to the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

• Clinical Support: Assist the clinical team in specialized areas such as medication management, assessments, care plans, and care reviews.

• Resident Wellbeing: Champion resident dignity, independence, and individual preferences while helping maintain a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and management to ensure seamless, high-quality daily care delivery.

About You

To thrive as a Senior Care Assistant, you will bring:

• An NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Specific, practical knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.

• A warm-hearted, compassionate nature with a strong commitment to individualized support.

• Proven leadership qualities and a desire to progress your career (with clear pathways into Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing roles).
