We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for a dedicated Specials Engineer to join their team at the Norfolk Depot in Norwich.
About the Role
As a Specials Engineer, you will play a vital engineering role in assessing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining specialised healthcare equipment. Working both in the depot and out at customer premises across the Norwich area, you will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety, minimizing equipment downtime so vulnerable individuals can maintain their independence.
This role combines hands-on technical diagnostics, preventative maintenance, computer-based work order management, and professional customer-facing support.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, inspect, service, and repair equipment in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions efficiently.
Carry out preventative maintenance and manage tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Install, deliver, service, and repair equipment directly at customer premises using a company van.
Receive, process, update, and confirm work orders using computer-based systems, keeping accurate records.
Provide professional and courteous customer support, answering technical queries where required.
Work independently to manage assigned tasks while collaborating with colleagues for seamless service delivery.

Driving Requirements: Full, valid UK driving licence with a willingness to travel to customer sites.
