Position: Class 1 Driver - Night Shift (Part-Time)
Location: Tamworth (A large picking depot, one of the busiest and most complex in the area, serving major regional convenience retailers with over 2,000 deliveries per day)
Pay Rate: £20.45 to £22.75 per hour (Plus an additional £1.15 per hour for weekend work and an extra £1.15 per hour for any hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00)
Job Type: Permanent - Part-Time
Shift Pattern: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Start times between 20:00 and 00:00; 1 to 3 trunking drops per shift, with routes planned for 8 to 12 hours)

Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
Operating out of their bustling Tamworth distribution hub, we are currently seeking an experienced, professional Class 1 Driver for weekend night shifts to ensure safe, temperature-controlled trunking deliveries and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Trunking & Deliveries: Complete 1 to 3 drops per shift safely and efficiently while securing signed or electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
Compliance & Regulations: Maintain strict compliance with EU Driver Hours, Road Transport Directive (RTD) regulations, tachograph systems, and temperature specifications for goods.
Vehicle Safety: Complete thorough pre- and post-vehicle checks, report defects appropriately, and drive in a safe, fuel-efficient manner.
What We Are Looking For
Licence & Experience: Minimum of 6 months of HGV Class 1 experience in a similar working environment, a valid Driver CPC, and no unspent endorsements exceeding 6 points (speeding/parking only). Zero convictions for careless/dangerous driving or driving under the influence within the last 5 years.
Knowledge: Fully conversant with EC Directives, the UK Highway Code, and LGV legal restrictions (such as bridge heights and weight limits).
