Join the team at Braeburn House in Salford! Working 37.5 hours a week, you will create an activity-based culture, utilizing your technical and creative skills to develop, deliver, and coordinate engaging social, recreational, and leisure programmes tailored to individual resident needs and treatment plans.
Coordinate social and recreational activities for service users, fostering strong 1-to-1 and group rapports to increase engagement and shape programmes around their interests.
Work alongside the multidisciplinary team to build links with community-based resources and support service users in accessing local activities safely.
Observe general behavior, abilities, and responses of service users, providing regular verbal and written feedback to team members and documenting progress in clinical notes under supervision.
Conduct basic day-to-day risk assessments and maintain strict adherence to hospital security, health, safety, and welfare standards.
Ensure all activities are sensitive to gender-specific needs, cultural requirements, and individual recovery goals.
A Full UK Driving Licence.
Basic group work skills and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
Minimum of 12 months experience within a mental health setting (Desirable).
High levels of initiative, motivation, and strong organizational skills.
Clear awareness of mental health conditions, their impact on functioning, and an understanding of gender-specific and cultural needs.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Braeburn House is a modern, purpose-built rehabilitation and recovery service in Salford, Manchester, for males suffering from a primary diagnosis of a mental health illness.
