Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, and organized Medical Secretary (Band 3) to join our team within the Acute Assessment Unit at Airedale General Hospital.
With Airedale embarking on an inspiring journey to build a brand-new state-of-the-art hospital by 2033 and advancing into a digital future, this is a fantastic opportunity to play an essential role supporting frontline clinical teams.
Working alongside and supporting the clinical team on the busy Acute Assessment Unit, you will deliver a high standard of secretarial and administrative duties. Key responsibilities include:
Secretarial Support: Providing comprehensive administrative support including audio typing (using BigHand or similar software), diary management, electronic filing systems, and meeting preparation.
Communication: Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries with an exemplary, professional, and sympathetic telephone manner.
Systems Management: Utilizing Patient Administration Systems (PAS), SystmOne, and Microsoft Office software to manage patient pathways and data inputting accurately.
Team Collaboration: Working flexibly and proactively to prioritize workloads under supervision and support the broader multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, approachable team player who meets the following criteria:
Qualifications: GCSE in Maths & English (or equivalent) and RSA/OCR Level 2 Word/Text Processing (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Recent medical secretarial experience, including audio typing and office administration supporting senior management functions.
Skills: Excellent computer, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously under pressure.
