Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and creative Cook to join the kitchen team on a bank contract basis. In this role, you will be the magic behind each delicious, nutritious dish served, bringing a love of fresh food and a desire to make mealtimes a highlight of every resident's day.
Key Responsibilities:
Use a passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritious menus tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
Help train and manage the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
Maintain strict adherence to COSHH, HACCP, safety guidelines, and budget/inventory management.
Innovate and put forward ideas to elevate the overall dining experience and make residents feel at home.
Cater for special events, celebrations, and seasonal activities (such as birthdays, summer fetes, and parties).
Key Requirements & Qualifications
A genuine passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen.
Relevant food hygiene certificates.
An innovative, open-minded approach to culinary arts combined with high hygiene and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring nature to share your love of food and connect with residents.
