Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) and Bradford Council to recruit a skilled and experienced Cloud & Cyber Security Engineer.
This is a new and pivotal role leading the development of cloud-based applications and infrastructure as WYPF continues to grow and evolve its organizational model over the next 3 to 5 years. In this position, you will serve as the first line of defense in keeping systems safe, designing robust hybrid cloud environments, and supporting core administration and finance teams.
As Cloud & Cyber Security Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable hybrid cloud systems while driving robust security frameworks. Key responsibilities include:
Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-performing hybrid cloud environment covering virtualised and containerised IT systems in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.
Cybersecurity & Threat Response: Designing and managing monitoring, detection, and response systems to protect against security threats and safeguard organisational data.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Supporting other technology teams as well as wider WYPF departments such as administration and finance.
Strategic Growth: Playing a crucial technical part in the 3-to-5-year organisational model growth and digital transformation.
We are looking for an accomplished technical expert who brings:
Advanced knowledge of cloud frameworks and management systems in a hybrid environment.
Strong hands-on experience with virtualised and containerised IT systems.
A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat monitoring, and incident response.
A collaborative, forward-thinking approach with the ability to work effectively alongside technical and non-technical stakeholders.
