Are you ready to make a real difference in someone’s life? We’re looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to join a small, dedicated team supporting a young adult with complex needs in their own home in Sturminster Newton. You’ll be providing 1:1 support to help them live safely, happily, and with as much independence as possible, both at home and out in the community.

Salary: £13.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full Time (Day and waking night shifts available; shift times can be adjusted based on applicant availability)

Shift Details:
Day Shifts: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Waking Night Shifts: 10:00 PM – 9:30 AM

Daily Living: Support with all aspects of daily living, including full personal care, dressing, toileting, and preparing safe, nutritious meals in line with dietary needs.
Community & Activities: Support out in the community, including sensory activities, walks, spending time outdoors, and exploring the local area.
Reassurance & Engagement: Provide reassurance, structure, and positive engagement throughout the day or night, respecting non-verbal communication methods.
Safety & Compliance: Monitor safety and wellbeing, keep accurate daily notes, and report any concerns promptly.
Approach: A calm, patient, observant, and reassuring presence who can build trust over time.
Skills: Ability to follow clear routines and care plans in detail.
Experience: Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential—full training is provided.
Requirements: A willingness to work in partnership with family and colleagues to ensure consistency. For day shifts, a full clean driving licence is desirable but not essential.
