Position: Registered Night Nurse / Bank Night Nurse

Pay Rate: £23.66 per hour (plus higher rates of pay at weekends)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and professional Bank Night Nurse for Monkscroft Care Centre. Located in the heart of Cheltenham, Monkscroft Care Centre is a charming and comfortable home offering outstanding person-centred nursing and dementia care for up to 80 residents.
As a Night Nurse, you will prefer working through the night and will typically be the most senior person on site during your shift, taking charge of emergencies and overseeing the safety and security of residents and the home. Leading a team of night carers, you will provide clinical leadership, guidance, and expert care delivery to ensure our residents rest comfortably and safely.
Clinical Leadership & Charge: Take charge during night shifts, leading the care team, managing emergencies, and maintaining overall home safety.
Nursing Care Delivery: Deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate clinical care needs in partnership with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams (GPs, hospitals, etc.).
Clinical Procedures: Oversee medication administration, end-of-life care, wound care, catheterisation, and management of deterioration.
Team Support: Act as a positive role model, guiding and motivating night care staff to maintain exceptional standards of care.
Qualifications: Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMH) with a current, valid NMC pin.
Experience: Post-registration clinical experience, confidence in taking charge at night, and familiarity with clinical care frameworks (refresher training and support also provided).
Personality: A compassionate, autonomous, and resilient professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for elderly care.
