In this vital role, you will carry out installation and repair works on both new and existing fire detection and alarm systems for major commercial clients. Key Responsibilities
Installation & Servicing: Perform planned installation works on fire detection and alarm systems, covering both first and second fix installations (including cables, containment, and ancillary equipment).
Fault Finding & Maintenance: Investigate system faults, carry out necessary repairs, and ensure all works adhere strictly to contract requirements and current British Standards.
Safety & Compliance: Complete and review risk assessments for every task, comply with all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, and wear mandatory PPE.
Communication & Documentation: Maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the helpdesk, ensuring timely submission of all operational documentation and reports.
What You Will Need
Experience: Proven hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and fault-finding on fire alarm systems within commercial environments.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of the latest British Standards, permit-to-work systems, RAMS, and containment installation.
Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities, time-management skills, and the capability to follow project designs and strict deadlines.
Requirements: Must hold a valid full UK driving license (preferably clean).
