Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEND Senior Officer to join the SEND Integrated Assessment Team.
The team is responsible for fulfilling the Local Authority's statutory functions regarding Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments and reviews. In this leadership role, you will guide casework, support families, and oversee a team of professionals dedicated to inclusive education across our vibrant and diverse city.
As SEND Senior Officer, you will combine operational leadership with casework oversight, partnership working, and statutory compliance. Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership: Line managing a team of SEND Casework Officers and Annual Review Officers, ensuring high standards of professional practice.
Partnership & Parent Engagement: Working collaboratively with parents and carers with empathy and support, liaising with the Parent Partnership Service and local Mediation Service to foster solution-focused casework resolution.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Working closely with professional colleagues across Bradford Council, the 0-25 Integrated Assessment Team, and external partners in health and social care to ensure fully compliant EHCP assessments and annual reviews.
Tribunal Representation: Preparing individual cases and representing Bradford Council at the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (with training provided where necessary).
We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced SEND professional who brings:
Proven experience in SEND casework, statutory assessment processes, or a closely related education/social care field.
Strong leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to manage and mentor casework teams.
Exceptional communication, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
Note: An Enhanced Disclosure check with Barred List will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
