Role Overview
The Procurement Assistant will support overall procurement activities within the packaging category. You will ensure operational needs are met through effective purchasing, balancing price, quality, and delivery to guarantee continuity of supply and improve site performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Order and plan the timely supply of components and materials to support plant operations.
Manage day-to-day relationships with existing suppliers while sourcing new vendors as required.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, ensuring the optimum balance of price, quality, and lead times.
Process invoice queries and manage purchasing records using the SAP system.
Ensure timely completion and traceability of customs clearance documentation for imported goods where relevant.
Support the Category Manager with market intelligence, data analysis, reporting, tender preparation, and tracking category savings.
