About this role
Marie Curie is looking for Band 2 End of Life Care Healthcare Assistants to join its community team across Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and Gloucestershire. These are permanent part-time night roles (10pm to 7am), at 18 or 36 hours a week.
What you will do:
- Plan your own work visiting people at home
- Give care set out in each person's care plan, including hygiene, nutrition and hydration, comfort and monitoring vital signs
- Respond to changes in a person's condition and escalate to senior staff in good time
- Take part in assessment, care planning and risk assessment within the team
What they ask for:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- 6 months' current care experience in a health or social care setting
- A valid driving licence and a vehicle with business insurance
- Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care and sensitive communication skills
Pay stated by the employer: Band 2, £25,272 a year in line with NHS Agenda for Change, plus enhancements (41% Monday–Saturday nights, 83% Sundays and bank holidays).
