Employment Type: Bank Contract (Flexible hours)

Salary: £12.90 – £14.51 per hour (depending on experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team on a bank contract. In this pivotal leadership role, you will take daily responsibility for running a unit, guiding a team of Care Assistants, and ensuring residents receive dignity, kindness, and first-class personal and clinical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and leading team shift handovers.

• Handle medication administration, review care plans, and maintain accurate digital records.

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Care Assistants, providing training and supervision to new and existing staff.

• Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals (such as GPs and District Nurses).

• Assist residents with a range of personal care duties, championing their comfort and independence.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full training and support are available).

• Previous experience in a senior care role with a solid understanding of its duties and challenges.

• A motivated, positive, and proactive attitude with great interpersonal skills.

• A genuine passion for making a difference in residents' lives.
