Hours: Relief / Bank hours per week (flexible to fit around your lifestyle)
Pay Rate: £16.71 per hour

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with MHA to recruit an enthusiastic and organised Cook (Relief/Bank) for The Meadow care home in Muswell Hill.
The Meadow is a friendly, inclusive home where colleagues work collaboratively to support older people and those living with dementia. Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and serve delicious, nutritious meals for residents and members attending club activities (such as breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea clubs).
Menu Planning & Budgeting: Design appealing, balanced menus that accommodate diverse dietary and cultural needs while managing food ordering and keeping strictly within agreed budgets.
Kitchen Safety & Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety in line with food safety and COSHH regulations, completing accurate audit records.
Volunteer & Staff Supervision: Support, supervise, and help train kitchen volunteers and staff, organising rotas to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
What You Will Bring
Cooking Experience: Previous hands-on experience preparing and cooking meals for large numbers of people.
Certifications: A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Personal Qualities: A confident, reliable, and customer-focused approach with sensitivity to the needs of older people (experience working with volunteers is a distinct advantage).
Proximity: Ideally living within approximately 15 miles of Muswell Hill for a manageable and balanced commute.
