Are you ready to take the lead and make a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our Dorset Outreach team, helping to oversee and deliver high-quality support across multiple locations in North Dorset. You will report to the Deputy Manager, splitting your time between hands-on support and leadership/administrative tasks to ensure our service runs smoothly.
Salary & Key Details
Salary: Up to £13.95 per hour + mileage paid at 35p per mile

Your Role as a Senior Support Worker
As part of your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for:
Team Leadership: Checking in with teams across the service, mentoring and guiding staff, and stepping in to lead shifts to maintain quality and consistency.
Direct Support: Providing hands-on support, including personal care, meal preparation, and engaging community activities.
Administration & Compliance: Reviewing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and documentation using IT systems.
Partnership & Liaison: Communicating effectively with families, professionals, and external agencies as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Proven experience in a senior support or team leader role, with confidence in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
Qualifications: Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (minimum) — ideally Level 3 or working towards it.
Skills: Good organizational skills and IT competence (Microsoft Office, care records).
Requirements: Full-time availability with flexibility to work across different packages, plus a full UK driving licence and your own car (essential for travel between locations).
