Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to source an aspiring and driven Undergraduate Air Human Resources professional for a 12-month industrial placement in Lancashire.
As part of the world-renowned Air Team, you will support the HR function to ensure people-related processes and systems operate effectively and efficiently across the business. This placement offers an extraordinary hands-on platform to gain valuable experience in employee relations, talent resourcing, and business partnering across world-leading programs like the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest.
Working within either a specialist team or business partnering environment, you will support a range of business requirements through the HR team. Under the guidance and supervision of a qualified HR professional, you will help deliver people strategies across resourcing, performance management, reward and recognition, employee relations, learning and development, and organization design.
Employee Relations: Provide HR guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including attendance, performance, and conduct issues.
Business Partnering: Partner with leaders and employees to identify workforce needs and support key business objectives.
Talent & Resourcing: Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development activities to strengthen talent capability.
Process Compliance: Deliver accurate HR processes and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
HR Projects & Inclusion: Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and inclusion initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
Academic Background: Must be on track to obtain a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level. (Note: All degree subjects are considered for this placement!)
Working Arrangement: On-site presence in Samlesbury or Warton 3 to 5 days per week under hybrid working guidelines.
Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
