The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in running a unit, inspiring and developing a team of Care Assistants, and working closely with nurses to deliver outstanding clinical and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and leading shift handovers.
Support nursing staff with clinical duties, including observations, administering medication, reviewing digital care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
Inspire, train, supervise, and mentor new and existing Care Assistants so they feel welcomed and supported.
Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with personal care duties while ensuring their comfort, independence, and dignity are maintained.
What We Are Looking For
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided to complete your qualification if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role with a solid understanding of its rewards, challenges, and clinical responsibilities.
A motivated, positive, and resilient mindset with exceptional interpersonal and team-management skills.
