Join our dedicated multidisciplinary psychology team in Milton Keynes to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, supporting medium and low secure male forensic services and gaining invaluable clinical experience on your path toward professional growth and future doctoral training.
What You Will Be Doing
Hold a clinical caseload, carrying out individual and group psychological interventions, formulations, and collaborative risk assessments under qualified supervision.
Conduct psychological assessments and write reports using appropriate psychometric measures, observations, and semi-structured interviews.
Assist in designing and delivering specialist staff workshops, reflective practice sessions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
Maintain clinical databases, write reports, and handle service evaluations, research tasks, and clinically relevant audits.
Collaborate within a supportive team utilizing evidence-based modalities including DBT, CFT, CBT, schema therapy, and trauma-informed care.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Hold a BPS-accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR).
Previous experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in a forensic and/or mental health setting.
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
A strong commitment to evidence-based therapeutic models, ethical practice, and HCPC/BPS professional standards.

Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes offers specialist medium and low secure services, an acute male service, and a locked rehabilitation intensive DBT service for women. The hospital provides comprehensive, evidence-based assessment and treatment pathways designed to reduce the risk of re-offending, manage complex mental health needs, and maximize each service user's potential for independent living.
