About the Role
As a Bank Chef, you will step in during planned or unplanned absences to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients, helping prepare wholesome, tailored menus that meet our residents' dietary and nutritional preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Leadership & Cover: Assist in managing the kitchen operations and leading the team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Culinary Excellence: Prepare high-quality, wholesome meals from fresh, seasonal produce cooked to the highest standards.
Menu Planning: Work alongside residents to tailor flavorsome, nutritious, and well-balanced menus.
Kitchen Management: Maintain stock control, complete regular audits, manage budgets, and uphold strict HACCP guidelines.
About You
We are looking for a warm, passionate chef who is motivated by high standards and genuinely interested in resident wellbeing.
Requirements:
Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery.
Culinary & Hygiene Expertise: Strong working knowledge of fresh produce, nutrition, and HACCP compliance.
Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead, inspire, and foster a fun, efficient kitchen environment.
Interpersonal Skills: A personable and warm approach when interacting with residents and staff.
