The Role

Are you a natural leader with a passion for retail excellence? On behalf of our client, a industry-leading retail brand, we are looking for a dynamic Assistant Store Manager to step into a vital leadership role across the North Lakes and Carlisle region.

Working alongside the Store Manager, you’ll inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, hit key operational targets, and keep daily store operations running smoothly. This role offers hands-on leadership experience and a clear path toward stepping up to Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Drive employee engagement, mentor staff, and champion a positive workplace culture.

• Customer Service: Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer experiences that exceed expectations.

• Store Operations: Manage daily deliveries, organize shifts, oversee till accuracy, and maintain efficient cash procedures.

• Performance & Targets: Focus on key store KPIs, operational performance, and stock availability.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure product freshness through effective stock rotation, while strictly maintaining health, safety, and due diligence standards.

• Proven Leadership: Strong background managing teams in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment (retail, hospitality, or dynamic service sectors).

• Target-Driven: Motivated to consistently meet and exceed operational KPIs.

• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and operational efficiency.

• Compliance Aware: Solid understanding of store due diligence, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
