Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX
Salary: £28,753.54 per annum + excellent benefits
Schedule: Rotating shift pattern (2 days / 12 hours [07:00–19:00] followed by 2 nights / 12 hours [19:00–07:00], with 4 days stand-down including 1 rostered duty cover shift)

Based at RAF Brize Norton—the RAF's largest operational base—you will play a vital role in protecting and supporting national security infrastructure. By delivering essential access control, site security, and traffic management services, your work will ensure colleagues, visitors, and contractors experience a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment every single day.
Access Control: Control vehicle and pedestrian access meticulously, checking identification cards and passes with high precision.
Customer Welcome: Provide a professional, friendly, and welcoming first impression to all arriving visitors, staff, and personnel.
Security & Response: Assist with security searches, emergency response protocols, and airfield pass verification checks as required.
Traffic & Escort Duties: Manage vehicle escort duties and traffic flows smoothly across the operational base.
Reporting: Maintain accurate logs, administrative records, and incident reports in line with site protocols.
Licensing & Vetting: Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence training and UK Security Vetting (UKSV) clearance, or the eligibility and capability to obtain it.
Driving Licence: A full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of six points.
Special Requirements: Ability to meet the necessary colour perception requirements for an Airfield Driving Permit.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills coupled with a positive, reliable, and customer-focused mindset.
Vetting Note: Candidates must undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks and secure formal Security Clearance (SC), which includes detailed background and financial history assessments. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed to support you effectively in the role.
