Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Braeburn House to source a passionate and dedicated Catering Assistant. Are you passionate about food and looking for a rewarding opportunity to work within a healthcare setting helping some of the most vulnerable people in society?
Join our established kitchen team at Braeburn House in Salford! Working 37.5 hours per week in a calm and pleasant environment reporting to the Head Chef, you will help prepare meals, support kitchen operations, and enjoy fantastic social interactions with service users, staff, and visitors.
What You Will Be Doing
Assist the catering staff with the preparation and cooking of meals in full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors with a warm, professional approach.
Maintain strict storage procedures, effective stock rotation, and general kitchen organization.
Ensure all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly to meet high operational hygiene standards.
Liaise closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, including dietitians regarding dietary requirements and planned meals.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Relevant Catering Qualification (desirable).
Working knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and HACCP principles.
Previous experience working within a similar kitchen or catering role.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
A proactive, cooperative, and friendly attitude with a passion for food service.

Braeburn House is a modern, purpose-built rehabilitation and recovery service in Salford, Manchester, for males suffering from a primary diagnosis of a mental health illness. Our residents have already progressed in their journey of recovery but still require further support and intensive interventions in a dedicated, supportive environment.
