About the Role

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are thrilled to partner with the Myton Food Group (Morrisons) to find a dedicated and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Operating within a fast-paced, 24-hour manufacturing environment, you will play a vital role in keeping production lines running smoothly, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and proactive maintenance on production equipment to prevent disruptions.

• Rapid Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, and execute swift repairs.

• Line Efficiency: Carry out machine adjustments, changeovers, and equipment calibrations to meet accuracy, quality, and safety standards.

• Process Improvement: Collaborate closely with production teams to enhance productivity and implement engineering solutions.

• Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and strictly adhere to health, safety, and HACCP guidelines.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, such as ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering).

• Industry Experience: Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within an FMCG environment.

• Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery (conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment).

• Certifications: A good understanding of HACCP principles; IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations is highly advantageous.

• Attributes: A proactive "can-do" attitude, strong assertiveness, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid work ethic.
