• Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40-hour contract)

• Shifts: Primarily Back Shift (14:00 - 22:30), with flexibility required for AM Shifts (06:00 - 14:30). Working any 5 days out of 7.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Warehouse Shift Leader to join the management team at a major, state-of-the-art Non-Food Distribution Centre in Luton.

In this pivotal role, you will lead by example to open, run, and close shifts while keeping your team motivated, positive, and focused on excellent teamwork. Balancing hands-on general duties with line management responsibilities, you will ensure operations run like clockwork and that new starters are fully trained to succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Line Management: Supervise and support your direct reports with the coaching, development, and training they need to thrive.

• Shift Operations: Lead day-to-day warehouse operations for your designated area, tracking team performance and supporting the Department Manager.

• Collaboration: Partner closely with other Shift Leaders across the regional distribution centre to ensure fluid, efficient transitions and workflows.

• Continuous Improvement: Proactively champion efficient working methods, identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies as they arise.

• Floor Leadership: Stay hands-on by performing general duties within the Non-Food Centre, including moving stock, checking inbound goods, and processing returns.
