Role Overview

Are you an experienced facilities management professional looking for an exciting leadership role with national scope? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with EMCOR UK to recruit a permanent Soft Services Manager based in Cheltenham.

In this multi-site role, you will be responsible for the effective management, delivery, and continuous improvement of all soft facilities management services—including cleaning, catering, reception, waste management, and grounds maintenance—ensuring safe and welcoming environments across operations. Please note: The ability to obtain and maintain National Security Clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Delivery & Quality: Lead and oversee all soft FM service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs, maintaining high presentation standards, and conducting regular site audits.

• Supplier & Contract Management: Manage third-party supply chain partners, evaluate supplier performance, lead review meetings, and support procurement activities.

• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and support multi-site soft services teams, coordinate training, manage performance reviews, and foster a positive team culture.

• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure total compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, conduct risk assessments, manage incident reporting, and champion safe working practices.

• Stakeholder & Budget Management: Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, manage service requests and reviews, and monitor operational budgets and cost efficiencies.

What You Will Need

• Experience: Proven experience in Facilities Management or Soft Services Management, ideally within the defence sector, managing teams in a multi-site and multi-service environment.

• Qualifications: A degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management or a related field (preferred). Professional memberships (IWFM, BICSc) and IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are highly advantageous.

• Core Skills: Strong supplier management, commercial awareness, excellent communication, and exceptional organizational/problem-solving abilities.

• Security Clearance: Must be eligible and able to obtain/maintain National Security Clearance.
