Location: Oswestry Leisure Centre, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 4QB
Hourly Rate: £8 to £12.71 per hour + excellent benefits
Job Type: Permanent / Part-Time (10 or 12 hours per week, mixture of early and late shifts on a 2-week rota; typical shifts include 06:00–14:00, 13:00–19:30, or 15:00–21:45)

About the Role
Supportive Bridge is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Receptionist.
As the welcoming face of Oswestry Leisure Centre, you will be one of the first people customers meet when they arrive. Providing a warm welcome, helpful information, and excellent service, you will help create positive, supportive experiences that encourage local community participation in health and wellbeing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Welcome: Welcome customers warmly and provide accurate information regarding facility programmes, services, and schedules.
Communication: Deliver exceptional customer service via face-to-face and telephone interactions.
Reception Operations: Support day-to-day reception operations, including stepping in to cover duties in the absence of the Head Receptionist.
Financial Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and adhere strictly to company financial procedures and cashing-up processes.
Promotion & Safety: Promote additional centre services and activities where appropriate, while strictly following health and safety policies and standards.
What You’ll Need
Experience: Proven background in delivering excellent customer care in a customer-facing environment or over the telephone.
Numeracy & Accuracy: Confident with handling cash, balancing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
Demeanour: Calm, professional, and approachable, even when working under pressure or during busy periods.
Problem-Solving: Able to think quickly, adapt to changing situations, and deliver high standards for customers and colleagues.
Vetting: Eligibility to work in the UK and completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
