Join the team at Thornford Park in Thatcham and help forensic service users with mental health conditions on their recovery journey to develop new skills and build a brighter future. As a senior member of the team, you will lead safeguarding initiatives, supervise junior staff, and empower recovery.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and support a caseload of forensic service users with mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary team.

• Handle comprehensive assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, and Managers Hearings.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.

• Act as a senior leader in promoting and safeguarding child and adult welfare.

• Liaise closely with external statutory agencies (such as MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police, and Probation) and support carers and families of detained patients.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• A recognized Social Work qualification.

• Active registration with Social Work England.

• Strong working knowledge of relevant mental health and social care legislation.

• Previous experience working in a similar forensic or mental health environment.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Thornford Park offers an integrated recovery pathway across medium, low secure, and rehabilitation wards, as well as Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs).
