We are looking for a dedicated Night Senior Care Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional night-time leadership and person-centred care to our residents.
About the Role & Location
Where You’ll Be Working: Victory Care Home in Chatham, Kent (a CQC-regulated care home).
Working Hours: Night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, including working alternate weekends.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Person-Centred Care: Ensure residents receive respectful personal care (bathing, dressing, oral care) that promotes choice and independence during the night and early morning.
Care Reviews: Contribute to and carry out care reviews with residents to ensure their plans reflect their evolving needs.
Medication Management: Safely, supportively, and compliantly administer resident medication.
Social Activity: Lead and participate in social engagements and activities within the home.
Leadership: Support new starters and existing staff with shadowing and development, and step up to lead the home when more senior managers are unavailable.
What We Need From You
A minimum of 12 months on your legal right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, with achievement of or working towards NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
At least 2 years of experience working in a social care environment, preferably with vulnerable adults over 65.
Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementia care.
Excellent communication skills and a real ability to show empathy to people under your care.
What We Offer
Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour with On-Demand Pay options.
