About the Role
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the warm and inclusive team at Lift St Helen's—an Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school providing high-quality education for children aged 3 to 11.
In this vital role, you will work closely with teachers across the school to support the delivery of an ambitious curriculum. Whether leading small group interventions, covering whole-class sessions, or helping children develop crucial social and emotional skills, you will play an essential part in giving every pupil the best possible start in education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver targeted small-group interventions and cover whole-class sessions when required.
Support teachers with assessments, observations, and tracking pupil progress to inform future learning.
Encourage children's social, emotional, and personal development in a safe, nurturing environment.
Build strong, positive relationships with families to support active parental involvement.
Line manage other Teaching Assistants where appropriate to ensure coordinated classroom support.
What We Are Looking For
Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and prior experience in a primary school setting.
Solid awareness and practical skills in supporting SEND interventions.
A deep motivation and passion for supporting young children and giving them an exceptional foundation in learning.
