About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant for Edwardstow Court. Situated in the heart of the Cotswold market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, this 48-bed care home offers compassionate, individualised residential, dementia, respite, and day care in a comfortable, homely setting.
In this role, you will join a passionate, hard-working, and friendly catering team to help create delicious meals, snacks, and drinks for our residents. By getting to know our residents and understanding their likes and dislikes, you will help ensure that mealtimes are always a bright and enjoyable highlight of their day.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Support: Assist the catering team in preparing and serving delicious meals, snacks, and refreshments.
Kitchen Standards: Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen and food preparation areas.
Resident Engagement: Interact warmly with residents, getting to know their personal food preferences and dietary requirements.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside the wider catering and care team to deliver a fantastic dining experience.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Formal catering experience is not essential—we provide all the training you need! Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is a helpful plus.
Attitude: A positive, can-do approach with a passion for cooking, high hygiene standards, and delivering great service.
Personality: Friendly and confident in engaging with elderly residents to understand and accommodate their individual needs.
