Salary: Hourly rate of £13.11 (Plus a 12.07% Holiday Allowance Uplift)
Employment Type: Bank / Zero-Hour Contract, Flexible Shifts (Please note: Candidates must be able to commit to a paid three-week training/induction course. Sponsorship is not available).

What You Will Be Doing
Provide compassionate, person-centred care to service users at every stage of their recovery and rehabilitation pathway.
Support ward rounds and observe behaviours to help shape responsive, tailored care plans.
Assist with everyday tasks, including personal care, to promote dignity, independence, and well-being.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, high-quality support.
Commit to and complete a comprehensive paid induction/training program.
Key Skills & Qualities
Naturally caring, empathetic, and resilient nature.
Strong communication skills with high emotional awareness.
Ability to remain calm under pressure in a secure, challenging environment.
A positive, adaptable attitude and a firm commitment to person-centred care.
Previous experience in mental health care or a similar secure setting is highly beneficial.

Thornford Park is a 141-bed hospital set within 21 acres of Berkshire countryside. It offers a seamless care pathway across medium/low secure services, psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), and rehabilitation flats, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, personality disorders, learning disabilities, and autism.
