We are partnering with The Donnington Care Home—an exceptional care home boasting a 9.7/10 carehome.co.uk rating and a Good CQC report—to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant. At The Donnington, the care and kitchen teams are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents. You will assist our chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring a fantastic dining experience where every meal is served with pride and care.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the friendly, welcoming link between the main kitchen and our residents.
Assist chefs with plating meals, setting up food trolleys, and keeping all preparation areas spotless, clean, and tidy.
Monitor stock rotation and comply strictly with company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.
Help cater for special events and celebrations, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food backed by previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A strong commitment to delivering excellent service and making residents feel right at home.
Excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and an appreciation for cherishing the little moments with residents.
