Position: HGV Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Greendale Business Park, East Devon, Exeter
Salary/Rate: £44,143.10 per annum (£21.15 per hour) + lucrative overtime rates (1.5x and 2.0x, plus a day in lieu for Bank Holidays)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 40 hours per week, alternating shift pattern: Week 1: 06:30 – 15:00, Week 2: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a skilled HGV Technician for their workshop team at Greendale Business Park in Exeter. Key Responsibilities
Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and comprehensive safety inspections on heavy goods and articulated vehicles.
Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and mechanical repairs to ensure optimal fleet performance.
Compliance & Records: Ensure all vehicles strictly comply with DVSA and company standards while accurately completing job cards and maintenance records.
Working Environment: Focus purely on technical vehicle maintenance without the hassle of cleaning, supported by an experienced, collaborative team.

What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent skills gained through experience) is ideal.
Licence: A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence is required. (Please note: A basic DBS check will form part of the recruitment process).
Experience: Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles, backed by strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Attitude: A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
