Lead a dedicated team supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the Bradford district!
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit a proactive and experienced Short Breaks Assessment Manager within the Improvement and Partnership Department.
The SEND Short Breaks Team helps children and young people with SEND access enriching activities, build friendships, and develop independence. Through a strong commitment to co-production, inclusion, and continuous improvement, this team plays a key role in strengthening family resilience and improving life opportunities for SEND families across Bradford.
As Short Breaks Assessment Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operational running of a team of Short Breaks Assessors, ensuring compliance with the Children's and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice. Key responsibilities include:
Operational Leadership: Managing the efficient daily running of the assessment team to ensure consistent, high-quality professional service delivery.
Statutory Compliance: Overseeing the identification and assessment processes for children with special educational needs in line with current legislation and local guidance.
Partnership & Collaboration: Maintaining positive, solution-focused relations with schools, families, providers, and partner agencies.
Data & Systems Management: Ensuring electronic recording and management information systems are maintained to a high standard, providing accurate data for service planning, performance monitoring, commissioning, and quality assurance.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced management professional who brings:
A strong background in SEND services, social work, education, or children's services administration.
In-depth knowledge of the Children's and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and drive high standards of professional practice.
Excellent data literacy, analytical skills, and familiarity with electronic case management and reporting systems.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
