Management Qualifications: Management qualification at QCF Level 4 or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards it)
Care Qualifications: QCF Level 4 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Experience: Previous registration in a home care service is highly preferable, alongside demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the care sector, running a home care service, and regulatory frameworks
Skills: Excellent leadership, management capabilities, and strong experience working with vulnerable client groups
As the Registered Manager, you will lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive, and effective service for your clients, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations while meeting operational and quality assurance KPIs.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
Client-Centred Care: Ensuring clients understand available care options and that care is provided in a way that promotes choice, dignity, and individuality.
Care Reviews & Collaboration: Reviewing existing care provisions to meet current health needs, liaising with internal staff, health professionals, social workers, and families.
Quality Assurance & Auditing: Conducting thorough audits to understand service quality and taking swift corrective action if concerns arise.
Risk Management: Ensuring effective risk assessments are in place to safeguard clients.
Team Leadership & Development: Inducting new staff, ensuring regular training, supervision, and motivation, and managing performance or disciplinary actions as required.
Service Resourcing: Effectively staffing the service to cover care calls, maintaining robust contingency plans for unexpected absences.
Compliance & Incident Management: Investigating complaints regarding safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery, ensuring appropriate notifications and duty of candour are fulfilled.
