Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE + Overtime + Company Van & Fuel Card
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week | 07:00 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 17:00)
Role Overview
Are you an experienced electrician looking for a mobile role within a critical, high-profile utility environment? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with EMCOR UK to recruit a permanent Mobile Electrician supporting the Thames Water contract across South London, Surrey, and the Thames Valley.
In this vital mobile position, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, testing, and installations across secure and sensitive water and infrastructure sites. Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Isolate defective equipment, visually check and test mechanical/electrical parts for faults, and take corrective action to execute repairs.
Preventative Servicing: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations and replace worn or defective components.
Electrical Installations: Perform electrical systems installations and associated equipment works, followed by the appropriate certification.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to EMCOR UK RAMS, Thames Water procedures, and Quality Management Systems, actively participating in on-call rotas and permit-to-work systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, manage allocated work orders from receipt to completion, and provide progress updates.
What You Will Need
Qualifications: City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent NVQ) and C&G 2382-10 18th Edition (minimum requirements). C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing and LV/Confined Spaces Authorised Person status are highly desirable.
Experience: Proven post-apprenticeship background in planned maintenance within a highly regulated environment, with strong experience in LV distribution systems and standby power/UPS.
Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a mobile team.
Requirements: Must hold and maintain a full valid UK driving license and be willing to obtain a Thames Water Passport.
