Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit a dedicated Youth Support Worker Leader in Charge to join the area team.

Bradford Council provides around 90 weekly youth sessions across constituencies, ensuring young people aged 11–19 (and up to 25 for young people with disabilities) can access safe spaces, build trust with supportive adults, and engage in health and wellbeing activities. In this key role, you will take the lead on developing and delivering an engaging youth offer rooted in equality, participation, education, and empowerment.

About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you will work directly with young people to broaden their horizons and build strong, positive relationships. Key responsibilities include:

• Youth Engagement & Outreach: Initiating and developing trusting relationships with young people (ages 11–19, up to 25 with disabilities) to encourage participation in positive activities.

• Youth Offer Delivery: Designing and delivering youth work responses informed by the voices of young people, guided by the Youth Service cornerstones.

• Group Work & Support: Equipping young people with the skills to work effectively in groups, handle information, and address issues important to their lives.

• Flexible Working: Collaborating with an area team, requiring a flexible approach with working hours frequently falling during evenings and weekends.

About You

We are looking for a passionate, qualified youth work professional who meets the following essential criteria:

• Qualification Requirement: JNC Qualification Level 6 or above in Youth Work.

• Proven experience working with young people in diverse settings.

• Sound knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, risk management, and equality of opportunity in youth work.

• Strong communication, teamwork, IT literacy, and relationship-building skills.

• Note: An Enhanced Disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be undertaken for this post.
