About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to recruit dedicated production talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, employing over 28,000 colleagues across multiple manufacturing sites.
At their bustling Heathrow facility, a team of around 400 colleagues produces high-quality gluten-free sandwiches, wraps, salads, and ready meals for major UK retailers including Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose.
We are currently looking for reliable Prep Operators to join their high-risk production team in a fast-paced, chilled manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ingredient Preparation: Accurately prepare raw materials and ingredients to the highest quality standards for use in delicious food products.
Production Efficiency: Contribute effectively to improved line performance, efficiencies, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Safety & Hygiene: Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, health and safety, food safety, and hygiene at all times.
Problem Solving: Identify and help resolve running issues on the line while communicating effectively with area leaders and other departments.
Physical Tasks: Handle food ingredients safely in a role that involves regular physical activity and some heavy lifting.
What We Are Looking For
Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to grow their career in food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience: Ideally some background working within a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
Skills: Good basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Work Ethic: A keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a chilled environment, and a strong commitment to health and safety practices.
Communication: Ability to follow management instructions, work well within a team, and communicate clearly across departments.
Awareness: Basic awareness of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene principles.
