SCADA Engineer
Location: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in Woking; 5 days onsite for non-SC cleared candidates)
Day Rate: £550 – £600 per day

We are looking for an experienced SCADA Specialist to lead testing, integration, and deployment across complex SCADA/EMS (Electricity) environments.
In this critical role, you will work closely with utilities providers, system integrators, and technical delivery teams to support the implementation of SCADA/EMS solutions within complex Transmission and Distribution environments.
Lead functional, non-functional, integration, and acceptance testing for SCADA/EMS environments.
Develop comprehensive test scenarios and cases to validate PowerOn Reliance (PoR) against business, operational, and technical requirements.
Configure PoR components across the wider technology stack, including Application, Database, Reports, FEP, Historian, DPF, and Proxy Servers.
Integrate PoR seamlessly with external enterprise applications and system interfaces.
Collaborate closely with utilities, system integrators, Product Owners, and delivery teams in Agile environments using tools like JIRA and XRAY.
Manage testing cycles, defects, risks, and delivery milestones effectively.
Extensive background (10+ years highly desirable) across SCADA implementation, integration, testing, and operational support.
Hands-on experience with PowerOn Reliance (PoR), including configuration and modules such as Group Telecontrol, Automation, System Tracing, Symbol Design, and Alarm Configuration.
Strong knowledge of power systems and OT environments, including IEC 101/104, IEC 61850, GI 74, NERC CIP, SCADA data flows, cartography/network modeling, and Windows/Linux server environments.
Ability to operate in an Agile framework and manage deliverables using tools like JIRA/XRAY.
Security Clearance & Location Note: Active SC Clearance is required for hybrid working (2–3 days onsite in Woking). Candidates without active SC clearance are welcome to apply, but the role will require 5 days onsite in Woking.
