Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist our valued client in recruiting an experienced and motivated Band 7 Clinical Lead to join their Kettering and Corby Community Mental Health Team. Based at St Marys Hospital in Kettering within Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, this permanent full-time post (37.5 hours per week) offers a prominent clinical leadership role shaping community mental health services across the region.
Working alongside the Band 7 Operational Manager and reporting to the Band 8a Service Manager, you will provide visible clinical leadership, overseeing high-quality, recovery-focused care for individuals with complex mental health needs. In this role, you will guide team members through clinical supervision and mentorship, chair multidisciplinary case reviews, drive quality improvement and patient safety governance, and utilize digital systems like SystmOne, SMART, MaST, and Datix to optimize service delivery.
Role Description
As a Band 7 Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary community mental health team, manage complex case allocations, lead governance and safety initiatives, and foster staff development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide visible clinical leadership and expert advice, promoting safe, recovery-focused care and supporting staff in managing high-risk and complex clinical cases.
Lead on clinical quality, patient safety, and governance, chairing multidisciplinary meetings and driving lessons learned from incidents and complaints.
Oversee daily clinical workflows and workload allocations, provide clinical supervision, and collaborate with operational managers to execute service transformations.
Requirements
Active registration as a Registered Mental Health Professional (e.g., RMN / Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent allied mental health professional).
Proven experience in a Band 7 leadership and management role within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) setting.
Leadership and management qualification, alongside demonstrated expertise in delivering clinical supervision and leading service improvement projects.
