About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a skilled and customer-focused Market Street Butcher for their store in Kirkby in Ashfield.

In this exciting role, you will be the face of our fresh butchers counter. Whether you are a trained butcher or have butchery skills gained behind the counter or in a professional kitchen, you will bring your flair for boning, cutting, preparing, and flavouring meat to life while delivering outstanding service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer confidence in the availability of fresh meat cuts and pre-packaged meat products.

• Maintain quality, fresh, and attractive food displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.

• Prepare meat primals to company specifications (including cutting, pricing, weighing, steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavouring, and wrapping) using appropriate equipment like knives, saws, mallets, and mincing machines.

• Produce customized meat cuts based on customer requirements, including online orders.

• Utilize specialized skills to create multiple different cuts from various primals.

• Deliver outstanding, friendly, and helpful service, highlighting traditional skills and fresh products.

• Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street when required.

What The Role Requires

• Trained butcher or proven butchery skills/knife experience (gained behind a counter or in a professional kitchen).

• A friendly, supportive approach with a passion for meeting new people and going above and beyond.

• Enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced, varied environment.

• Able to use initiative to support and resolve customer queries.

• Competent in using a range of equipment while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

• Available for fully flexible shift patterns across 7 days.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
