At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we believe that dining should be one of the highlights of a resident's day. We are delighted to partner with Maria Mallaband Care Group, one of the UK’s premier independent care providers, to recruit a warm, customer-focused Hospitality Assistant (Day) for the gorgeous Allingham House in Timperley.
At Allingham House, we pride ourselves on creating a "home-from-home" atmosphere where individuality and choice are celebrated. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a key role in making our dining room feel like a welcoming restaurant—combining professional service with a relaxed, friendly touch. If you have a passion for hospitality and want to make a genuine difference in the lives of older adults, this part-time role offers the perfect opportunity.
Reporting to the Care Manager, you will be the face of our food and beverage service, ensuring that residents and visitors receive an efficient, pleasant, and high-quality dining experience.
You will bridge the gap between our talented kitchen team and our residents, turning mealtimes into comfortable, social, and joyful occasions.
Key Responsibilities:
Excellent Food Service: Deliver freshly prepared food from the kitchen to the dining areas, serving meals to residents in a pleasant, friendly, and respectful manner.
Warm Atmosphere: Create a professional yet relaxed dining environment, ensuring our residents feel respected, pampered, and comfortable.
Hydration & Refreshments: Ensure fresh refreshments, hot drinks, and cold beverages are beautifully presented and available to residents throughout the day.
Setting the Scene: Set up dining tables elegantly, maintain clean and tidy work areas, and prepare food service areas for the next sitting to meet exceptional hygiene standards.
Infection Control & Cleanliness: Adhere to strict food safety guidelines, cleaning down tables and sanitizing work surfaces after each service.
We are looking for a naturally warm, detail-oriented individual who understands that great hospitality is built on small details and genuine care.
Attributes:
A caring, compassionate nature with a sincere desire to support elderly residents.
A proactive, self-motivated, and highly flexible approach.
A strong team player who is equally comfortable managing tasks independently.
Skills & Experience:
Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Experience working in a busy restaurant, hospitality, or catering environment is highly desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
Natural adaptability to cater to the unique preferences and needs of individual residents.
Compliance:
A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the employer).
By joining the Allingham House team, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive array of premium employee benefits:
Health Cash Plan: Simply Health company-funded scheme (providing cashback for dental, optical, and prescription costs, plus 24/7 virtual GP access for you and up to four children).*
Flexible Pay: Access your earned wages before payday with the Early Pay platform.
Lifestyle Perks & Dining: Access to a premium savings platform with discounts across high-street retailers, plus a free Tastecard membership (up to 50% off dining out).
Financial Protection: Nest Pension Scheme and access to heavily subsidized BHSF sick pay insurance.
Work-Life Balance: Generous part-time hours, flexible working patterns, and a supportive team environment.
Professional Growth: Fully funded training, service recognition awards, and excellent apprenticeship opportunities to help you build a progressive career.
Wellbeing Support: Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), active mental health support, and discounted gym memberships.
*Simply Health benefits require successful completion of a 12-week probationary period.
**Cycle to work scheme is subject to deductions not taking your hourly rate below the National Living Wage.
