Are you proactive, practical, and dedicated to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-run environment? Merlin Court Care Home is seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of facilities and maintain high standards of general upkeep for the building.
In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding residents and team members by keeping all physical systems in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Promptly resolving home maintenance concerns utilizing working knowledge of building systems and regulatory requirements (including plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs, and interior/exterior finishes).
Conducting compliance and safety routines, such as redecorating rooms, conducting fire training, water checks, fire testing, and health and safety checks.
Engaging approved contractors when required and sourcing alternative suppliers as needed.
Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or its internal building systems.
Direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant (where applicable), including day-to-day supervision, objective setting, annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management, and holiday authorization.

Requirements:
Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Strong knowledge of safety and fire safety systems.
The ability to make responsible choices and decisions, always acting in the best interests of residents.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
