Position: Hospitality Assistant
Location: Circle Reading Hospital, Reading

Salary: Up to £25,155.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification)
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Circle Reading Hospital—part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a customer-focused Hospitality Assistant for their catering and kitchen operations team.
In this vital role, you will support all kitchen functions and catering duties, ensuring the smooth, efficient delivery of high-quality food services and excellent customer experiences for patients, visitors, and colleagues alike.
Kitchen Operations: Support overall kitchen functions and undertake a wide range of catering duties to ensure seamless food service delivery.
Food Preparation: Prepare food to agreed recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements, guaranteeing consistency across all meals.
Nutritional Delivery: Assist in providing nutritious, appetizing meals tailored to individual dietary, cultural, and clinical specifications.
Customer Service: Ensure all patients, visitors, and colleagues receive top-tier meals paired with friendly, professional customer service.
Service Timing: Support the timely preparation and distribution of meals, snacks, and refreshments throughout the hospital.
Inventory Management: Assist with stock rotation, safe storage, and replenishment to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Experience & Qualifications: Previous kitchen/hospitality experience; college, HND, or equivalent catering qualification (or relevant industry background).
Technical Skills: Good knife skills and safe food preparation techniques; Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance & Safety: Good understanding of HACCP principles, COSHH, safe working practices, infection prevention, and food safety standards.
Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Competencies: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
Language & Presentation: English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0; professional appearance with a willingness to comply with the hospital uniform policy and work flexibly.
