As an integral part of the funeral service team, you will help families say the perfect goodbye with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
Care of the Deceased: Prepare, transport, and provide personal care for the deceased (please note that roles involve direct physical contact with the deceased). Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
Funeral Duties: Safely lift, carry, and bear coffins using proper manual handling techniques and equipment. Drive funeral vehicles and collect the deceased from various locations.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure vehicles, equipment, and facilities are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Administration: Utilize IT systems, computers, and mobile devices to maintain accurate, timely client management records.
We are seeking empathetic individuals who can react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances.
Driving Licence: A full manual UK driving licence is essential.
Physical Capability: Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, including manual lifting and handling.
IT Confidence: Good digital skills with the ability to use computers, tablets, and smart devices confidently.
Customer Service: A sensitive, compassionate approach with exceptional attention to detail and adherence to health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
