In this senior leadership role, you will lead multidisciplinary, blended teams ranging from 50 to over 600 professionals and manage multi-million-pound portfolios (budgets exceeding £60M to £150M+). You will spearhead digital strategies, oversee robust product lifecycle management, champion responsible innovation (including AI and data ethics), and ensure critical systems supporting the UK's border, asylum, passport, and immigration infrastructure operate securely and at scale.
Strategic Digital Leadership: Set and drive compelling digital strategies, vision, and roadmaps, balancing immediate operational priorities with long-term government objectives.
Product & Programme Delivery: Lead high-priority portfolios, embedding end-to-end product lifecycle management to ensure services are user-centred, secure, robust, and scalable.
Live Service & Continuous Improvement: Ensure operational resilience, cyber security, and high performance using user feedback and emerging technology.
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement: Build strategic relationships across government departments, Ministers, industry partners, and suppliers, managing significant contracts and budgets.
People Leadership: Provide inspirational leadership to distributed, multidisciplinary teams, fostering an inclusive culture of curiosity, talent development, and succession planning.
Responsible Innovation: Champion data ethics and AI governance to ensure new technologies are adopted responsibly.
Senior Digital Leadership: Proven senior leadership experience driving large-scale digital transformation within complex or public sector environments.
Technical & Product Expertise: Demonstrable expertise in a core digital discipline (product, delivery, service, or engineering) combined with portfolio and business change leadership.
Large-Scale Budget Management: Strong financial and commercial acumen, managing significant budgets, contracts, or vendor relationships of £15M or more.
Collaborative Excellence: Exceptional ability to build strategic relationships in high-profile environments involving senior stakeholders and suppliers.
